Question for those RD04 owners who have fitted SWmotech crash bars?

I was cleaning the bike yesterday and noticed that at full lock, either way the uppermost bolts on the crash bar fixing fouled the brake lines at the lower triple clamp, where they go from metal to rubber.

The only way I could get round this was to remove the two brackets (one each side) and, using HD cable ties fixed them to the forks, thus bringing them forward enough to solve the issue.

    Anyone else had this?

    Safe?
When I grow up ..... yeah right!

Y'see, I could say "You can go fast, I can go anywhere, Africa Twin" But you buggers have 'em as well so it would sound pretty lame .... oops!

braided hoses, but they have been known to rub the crash bars. Never snag though.

    You've just reminded me.

I had an "Advisory" on my previous MOT for this very reason. Of course, I forgot and did naff all about it!!!

Although I'm generally pleased with the amount of money and searching for parts that the crash bars have saved me, when I look at them side on, they never seem to look like they're fitted right to me. The lines look wrong, if you know what I mean? Maybe I've done it wrong, but hopefully I'll get to compare it with other people's bikes on Piel Island.
