id have a look in your yello pages and find a bodyshop/engineering firm that does this sort of thing..

working on fuel tanks can be dangerous, so i would leave and welding/heat applications to the guys who know what theyre doing...

unless you want to go down the fibreglass/ filler route... you can get a product that you pour into the tank and swil it around, and it seals it - but any holes you have need to be repaired first..

    good luck though..

MOst motorbike shops sell petseal for fuel tank leaks etc and stops them rusting from the inside. You take the tank off remove the tap and bung the hole up. Then mix the petseal with boiling water and fill the tank with the mixture. Leave it over night and it will coat the inside of the tank with a layer of plastic. It worked well on my mates suzuki gs850. As for the dent i had one on my firestorm tank and the bodyshop did it £120 they spot welded electodes onto the dent then pulled it out and sprayed it youcouldn't tell the difference

I have spoken to a few local repairers and the prices are £100-£130 for repair and £120-£150 for spraying + transfers I am hoping somebody can blend the black in instead of a full respray so I will be going to a place near Blackpool next week to see if this can be done. Thanks for advice I believe sealer stuff is about £24 still ringing round but if anyone knows someone who can do it cheaper let me know

you wont find a place that will partly spray black as it is one of the hardest paints to get a good finnish on as it will show all discrepancies up
