The GIVI bars will fit 93 - 02 model AT's. Not sure what the RD04 model years are.

    Re: Crash Bars

The only advice I was given when buying crash bars was, avoid the ones where the rear mounting bolts to the footpegs, and favour the ones that secure to the rear engine mount.

The reason for this is that the footpeg mounted ones are perfectly placed to break your leg, if the bike goes down and your leg is trapped. The other type create enough roomm for your leg not to be squashed in the same scenario.

I've used the SW Motech ones from Wemoto and can safely say they will pay for themselves the first time you drop your bike.

    Re: Crash Bars

Bought the GIVI bars for £71.16 and they arrived within 4 days. Took me about 2 hours spread over 2 nights to fit them, I wasnt rushing. A bit akward in places but I managed it solo.

So here they are on the bike.

Good solid bars. They dont get in the way, even though they are attached to the footpeg.

Mine is a combination of two. The one below is a well known "Star" by producer ??? I dont know but I am sure many of you here actually do.

The above fairing protection...well I did that myself. Practically benchmarked from R1200 GS upper fairing protection. Allowing me to strap on Touratech's 1 LT bags, also coming handy...

    Hello mate
The sw-motech bars you are talking about is being sold by wemoto , just go onto their website and put in your bike specs and it will come up with what you need. I cant realy remember how much i payed for it , think rufly it was £140 , but dnt take my word for it.

Here is some pics of the ones i got from them.
Good luck mate hope you get what you need
