    Spring removal stock shock

    Hello,

I also want to replace the rear spring of my RD07a, but dont know how to remove it.
I tried moving the nuts al the way up, but it doesnt work.
Do I need to full compress the spring, and move the nuts al the way down?
If so, does anybody has a tip how to compress the spring without a springcompressor?

    Regards,

    Peter

remove the shock/spring from bike, under bottom mount is a nut, undo and the bottom spring plate/bumpstop comes off with the spring seat etc,the spring is removed downwards. Make sure you have the top adjusters at the very top and you should have minimum pressure from the spring on the bottom plate.(if in doubt put a ratchet strap round it and undo the nut then release the ratchet strap slowly) There is also (depending on the model) a hose to remove and a and possibly an alignment bolt into the bottom plate.

Thanks btbloke, that was very helpfull!
    It worked!
I had to compress the spring a little and had to move the rubber damper before I could acces the nut.

    Regards,

    Peter
