    Trip master screen and bulb

The screen on my tripmaster has been out in the sun too long and has some ugly cracking. Is it possible to find a replacement screen?

Also, the backlight is out. What kind of bulb do I need?

    Thanks guys!

12v, 2 or 3 watt, T5 wedge bulb. they are quite small but easy to fit, if it doesn't work.. rotate 180*. some people now use the newer led versions. different colours but found the clear to be best. Pack of 10= £2. If you find a supplier of new screens please contact me. Same problem. Have you tried the speed modification? ... easy & very cheap.

Thanks foz1969, that's great help! I think I will try both the regular and LED style and see which matches better with this thermometer with regards to light output.

I haven't tried the speed mod (yet) -- I picked up my Africa Twin two days ago (: And I got my license three days ago. Since then I have logged 900km (560 miles). I'll put up a thread about my first adventure shortly (:

I dont know of a supplier of replacement screens - the only idea that i have toyed with - is to make a mould of the existing and get it vaccum formed -using clear plastic..

Im sureif you do a search for vaccum forming or plastic moulding in either yellow pages - or google - you might find somewhere either locally or postable...
Shouldnt be too difficult to do..

Bad news, and especially bad as you're new to biking and have only had your AT such a short time.

    Hope you get it back.
