Not to late at all. That's really helpful thanks

I think I'll dig about a little more to see if I can find a cheaper one, but if not then it's good to know that there's the motobatt one to fall back on (is increasingly looking like it might be the only option).

It sounds like it's a really good product with well thought out flexibility. It's too late for me but sounds ideal for anyone else with an RD04. It will be a far better bet than an exact fitment as chances are, with higher stock turnover, it won't have been on the shelf for too long .

    Re: RD04 Maintenance Free/Gel Battery?

It's looking like this is going to my first choice. I've just twigged by 4 terminals they actually mean 4 terminals (2 on either side) and not just the little bent metal thing in the photo with two mounting holes in).

I came across this side by side review/test for them:

    IntruderAlert Cafe

Which looks really good (not sure if it's the exact same model but it looks the same sort of proportions etc. as an RD04 battery).

I've got to admit, a lot of it went straight over my head, but the overall impression is that it's a good battery that'll stand up to all sorts of abuse (which in my case will be handy because that's exactly what it'll probably get ).

It seems that it holds its charge for a long time left standing too (after 45 days in that test it had only dropped from 12.65 to 12.41v).

Now I just need to work out what else I need from wemoto that I can order at the same time with the justification that I'm saving on the postage buying stuff together
