I've checked this site and read that those are a good option
I have decided to add the extra relay to save the pump contact which I've seen done here

My XRV-forum sourced fuel pump has now done 43,000 miles with no problems (touch wood). I still haven't got round to mounting it permanently, it's held on with plastic zip ties. The Honda pumps are cack and not worth repairing in my opinion.
3 Africa Twins/280,000 miles. If it's happened to one of mine, it's gonna happen to one of yours.....eventually.
1 Varadero/17,000 miles ridden (of 40,000 miles on the bike), it's all still new to me!
