    RD03 front wheel bearings

Just swapped the front wheel bearings over, post MOT advisory notice. Followed the useful 'How to' and bought bearings as per the codes suggested: double rubber sealed. Subsequently noticed that in the Honda workshop manual it talks about bearings sealed only on the outside; does it matter?

Can't think why double seals would be a problem, perhaps single is all that's necessary given the insides of the bearings would be sealed within the hub.

Any reason why double side seals would be a problem and singles preferable??

    Cheers
    David

Thought that was probably the case, no worries then.

Hopefully the drag of the extra seal won't ruin my mpg!

I always pop one seal out and add a little extra grease then pop the seal back in. Makes the bearings last about twice as long on my offroad bike and forever on my AT.
