Urgent help! I am on a trip around the world

    Hi all,

Have a question for you, do not ask me why I am on trip around the world with two of my friends. We have been driving for more than 50 days and from Europe we have reached Los Angeles through Romania, Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Siberia, Magadan and Vladivostok (The RIDEAROUND 2010)

Please see attached pictures of new JT front sprocket for Africa Twin 1994. Could you please tell me which side is facing engine, picture 1 or picture 2?

    Thanks,
    Vlada

Pic 2 towards engine. When looking at sprocket on the bike you should be able to read the part numbers

exactly, so you can order the right part before stripping the bike down to a useless lump of metal for three weeks waiting for the correct part to show up! how do i know that......

expect quite a lot of noise from the new sprocket if you are changing from the honda one, the rubber disc keeps the noise down but its not important.

sounds like a great ride vlada, im jealous

Top picture facing outwards. The raised part would have the locking plate sat on it.
3 Africa Twins/280,000 miles. If it's happened to one of mine, it's gonna happen to one of yours.....eventually.

1 Varadero/17,000 miles ridden (of 40,000 miles on the bike), it's all still new to me!
