    1993 750 RD04 for the Japan Market

I just bought an xrv750 RD04. The info I got suggests it's a 1993 built for the Japan market and the frame serial number "RD041030212" A post on xrv.org.uk formun for a xrv650 also listed a very low serial number and stating it was built for Japan. This further suggests mine is also. I would like to confirm this and find out what model number/letter to use to order parts.

The Japan model usually had an amber light labeled "SPEED" , located by the idiot lights cluster on the left side.

I think your bike VI-number, or VIN as some preferes to call it, would do nicely when ordering spare parts.

Have you tried your number on David Silvers pages?

David Silver Spares - IDENTIFY MY MODEL

    They write:

Email us your Honda model details
If you are not able to find the color label, you can email us your VIN and engine number and as many other details about your bike as you can. We will then ID your bike and will email you back the result.

Hi Kjell. Actually my RD03 Japan model has a red Speed light. It comes on at about 84 km/hr.

For ordering parts, RD04 should be all he'll need. The headlight might be different than in some countries as mine had dual H4s, and Japan requires a passenger grab strap on the seat, otherwise I think no difference.
