DP321 front brake pads.
As you can imagine I've been through a fair few brake pads on Africa Twins and I think I'm in love with the last set.
I bought a set of DP321 pads from Wemoto in October 2008 and from the off they were really good stoppers, even in the wet, something a lot of pads I've tried haven't been. I'm using OE discs.
I've just put a new set in today and the last set lasted exactly 24,467 miles with 1mm left. They were still very good at stopping me wet and dry, even with this tiny amount of pad material left. There was no lifting of the material or any other damage to them, they were very evenly worn.
Oddly I had noticed that my OE front discs were slightly warped about 18 months ago, it showed up on the MOT brake test and I could feel it when coming to a gentle halt. They seem to have warped back into shape again, the pulsing has slowly eased and it didn't register on the MOT last time.
Discs have done at least 59,000 miles, maybe more, the previous owner had bought a set of better wheels for the bike, so I have no idea of their true mileage.
In the past I have used EBC front discs with their recomended pads, an accident waiting to happen in the wet, no stopping power at all. I used to have to do a pre brake to dry the discs before a planned stop, no good in a proper emergency. Their rear pattern discs are good though, I would have one of them again when required.

3 Africa Twins/280,000 miles. If it's happened to one of mine, it's gonna happen to one of yours.....eventually.
1 Varadero/17,000 miles ridden (of 40,000 miles on the bike), it's all still new to me!
