    Re: rear wheel bearing

might sound like silly questions but are you using the correct bearing on the correct side and how and what are you installing with?

    Re: rear wheel bearing

yeah got the right bearings and the spacers on the right sides, the hub side is the bigger spacer, when i try to fit the wheel i do find it a very tight fit to get on that i need a hammer to tap the break caliper mounting to get it on,oh and the hub has been powder coated,do you think that will have anything to do with it?

you must have some mis- alignment
has the bearing housing ( the hole where the bearing sits got any powerecoating? it should be bear metal and as powdercoating is thick the outer race will not seat properly, so when you tighten the wheel ( and so the inner race ) you could be side loading the bearing. if the housing is coated remove it dremel with a wire brush ...??

    Re: rear wheel bearing

Might be worth taking a few pics, wheel on etc and wheel off, so we can see if the spacers are seating right or wrongly etc and especially the caliper, should not touch at all.

The brake disc is the right way round, with the brake disc bolts set in the disc?

    Re: rear wheel bearing

who built the back wheel for you - one of the well known companies ?

Shouldnt make a difference to the bearings, but if the offset was wrong would that cause any problems ?????????

    Just thinking aloud.................
