Well, if you would like to stuck to ordinary wolfram H4, I suggest you to go to NIGHTBREAKER. I had them before I installed xenons. NB gives much more light than ordinary H4 bulbs. They are also manufactured by OSRAM. Ofcourse, no modification needed, a simple replace of the existing bulb.
I don't know the electric installation on Varadero, but on most Africas, there is no relay for the lights, and the current is going through the switch on the handlebar. I had this situation on my old RD03. Therefore, I installed a separate wire that goes directly to the battery, and the existing installation only triggered the relays. Much more power comes to the bulbs on this way and it gives much brighter light. Additionally, all the current goes through the relay, not warming unnecessary the switch.
I suppose that there is a relay already installed on your Varadero, ar least for long beam light. Check this on your Varadero for every case

It looks that I messed something up with the tripmaster when I squeezed the wires

It's not working, even the backlight does not want to come up. I hope that only some wire is broken, or connector plugged out.
I have to remove the plastics anyway, so you're lucky

I will make a photo of all the installations and wires

Tomorrow will be the day for it.
