    1-4.5 bar

    15psi to 50psi

the pressure sets the pre load, I actually run mine at about 8psi... have you checked it got oil in it too?

check out the wiki pages there is s link to the manual there

its either a 1983 Rd the red white and blue tank, red engine

or the 1985 Rf Black engine bike

they were only made in those two years ( the d 83 f 85 ) no more than about 4000 of each made, so look after it

Re: Homda xlv 750r rear shock

    Hi
Thanks for the replies, particularly the link to the classichonda site with the tech manual. My bike is a 1985 black engine,red/black tank.Very good nick for its age, with a new shock it is about 6" taller, previously I had my feet flat on the ground when sitting on it now i am on my toes My previous bike was a 990 ktm adv so I am glad I have got a tall bike again,I couldn't understand when i read that the xlv was a tall un as mine seemed a little short arse,I just thought the shock was a bit firm being an old bike but obviously I didnt have one !!!!! I bought the new ( old) shock from ebay france for £75 delivered so really pleased with it.It is a challenge finding parts but ebay France and Italy has lots on offer. My bike was an Italian import about 5 years ago.Happy days just need to put it all back together do a little service and it should be back on the road at the weekend.
