Goes to show; pros and cons:
    Mercury into engine!
    Remove the air bubbles!
Not a problem with gauges, but I would hate to drop gauges; even from a few inches.

    I bought these from M&P.
Used them on a Transalp and Whealie has borrowed them for his @.

The big pro with mercury is calibration. Unless something really odd happens to air pressure or gravity then they will always be accurate.

Got my set from Wemoto. These come with damping valves to reduce the needle oscillation. They work, what more can I say?

It's not a case of whether we can fix it or not - it's more a case of how fixed would you like it?

    Re: Carb synchroniser

I've the carbtune pro. They have metal rods in the tubes. You must use restricted rubber tube inserts to dampen airflow, otherwise the reading will bounce just like with dials (all that's needed comes in the package). I've used it a couple of times, very easy and fast thing to check (carbs have stayed within 2mmHg so no adjusting for me).

Delivery was some 4 days to Finland.

I've got the Hein Gericke dials - Easy to use and come with neccesary hoses and brass adaptors. The damping is not particularly advanced but does the job just fine

    Re: Carb synchroniser

Call me old fashioned... If I’ve got time I’d use a gauge but a bit of pipe and my ear seems to have done pretty good job with all the carbs I’ve balanced. If they sound the same they’re sucking the same. I know this won’t be as accurate as a gauge, but it’s worked for me so far. I’d always use a gauge on a highly strung sports engine but the good old 750 twin is a little more lenient.

Am I gonna get nagged at now?
