Mercury into engine!
Remove the air bubbles!
Not a problem with gauges, but I would hate to drop gauges; even from a few inches.

Some bikes have thrombosis; there's a clot behind the bars!
I bought these from M&P.
Used them on a Transalp and Whealie has borrowed them for his @.

Got my set from Wemoto. These come with damping valves to reduce the needle oscillation. They work, what more can I say?

It's not a case of whether we can fix it or not - it's more a case of how fixed would you like it?
Einstein - Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.
I've the carbtune pro. They have metal rods in the tubes. You must use restricted rubber tube inserts to dampen airflow, otherwise the reading will bounce just like with dials (all that's needed comes in the package). I've used it a couple of times, very easy and fast thing to check (carbs have stayed within 2mmHg so no adjusting for me).
Delivery was some 4 days to Finland.
I have a set of the dial gauges but I always borrow my mates Carbtune, personally I think that it's better![]()
Rust never sleeps
I've got the Hein Gericke dials - Easy to use and come with neccesary hoses and brass adaptors. The damping is not particularly advanced but does the job just fine

Just ordered a morgan carbtune from M & P and will report how good or bad it is when i use it. I was going to make my own i can buy accurate glycerine filled gauges for about £17 each i may still go down this route if the morgan ones are sh1te.
I did a video on balancing using carbtune on a Fazer. They are simple to use on an @ & are great....you will note I now have a suntan
Call me old fashioned... If I’ve got time I’d use a gauge but a bit of pipe and my ear seems to have done pretty good job with all the carbs I’ve balanced. If they sound the same they’re sucking the same. I know this won’t be as accurate as a gauge, but it’s worked for me so far. I’d always use a gauge on a highly strung sports engine but the good old 750 twin is a little more lenient.
Am I gonna get nagged at now?![]()
