I understand your passenger requires the side car to have a For Hire light fitted and a meter

    Re: My AT sidecar project.

Should have been on the case early Saturday morning. I put the key in the van at seven am,wouldn't start and things just went from bad to worse ! I eventually got to the workshop at seven thirty pm. Got dragged out for a meal and ended up slaughtered. So after a late breakfast Sunday I got down to it.

It won't look like much but what you see in these pics took all day. It's been mostly setting up and positioning, although I did get the front end mostly sorted too ! What has become apparent is that you can't expect a crashed/mint bike to stand for two years without some corrosion and stuff. So when this thing is finally built it'll be stripped down to the bones again for a full frame and parts coating.

I've also just gotten a set of of used hubs too.The plan is to have them rebuilt with matt stainless spokes on heavy Morad rims. Here's the best bit - I'll use a 17'' rear rim and 150 TKC rear tyre on the front hub and jack the front end to match.

This started out as a rush job to ride the Stella again, but the serious end of this project looks like happening once I get back ? Anyways ? life goes on. One more weekend to get it rollin' Will he ,won't he ?

Edit : Oh and that little side wheel is coming off to make room for a 6" rim too.

    Re: My AT sidecar project.

Been away for a couple of weeks on the Dommi outfit to Italy (nightmares all the way )

So first weekend in a while on the @.Visually not a lot of progress, but I got the bike running for the first time in 27 months (like a peach ) then spent a day setting up the geometry of the side car.I have to say this - My NX650 outfit was built by proffessionals and although I'm loving it,this @ outfit was so well balanced from the get go that if the NX is 4 0ut of10, then the @ is 9 out of 10 for ease of handling. I can't wait to get it finished off !

I'm really hoping to have it ready for an MOT next week ? let's see.
