If your passing Lisburn on her and fancy a brew and a natter. Give me a shout, don't worry she will not be molested, don't have an 04 in the garage needing parts

I was looking at your photo and it just looks as though your chain is a bit tight - there should be more slack when on the side stand - between 40 an 70mm of slack - it is a lot more than road type bikes. Worth checking.

    Re: New Africa Twin owner!!

Quick update.....I could,nt help myself and decided to do a swift restore on her and she is looking good!!Wiring harness was a bit butchered but I managed to get it back to pretty much as it should be.Powder coated frame, all subframes, restored shock, all cables etc were good so just lubed them and fitted new grips!Major surgery on the shock linkage was required though as the needle bearings/pins were rubber ducked so damping could,nt have been perfect!
Tank and panels were,nt bad so a good clean and any dodgy decals are will be replaced!New brakes and front indicators needed also!!
Will post up some pics soon!!

Very nice bike mate, What the others failed to tell you that thats the bestist colour the fastest colour, although the lads with the black ones will try and argue , also they are getting quite rare according to the lads that really know this breed of bike.
I have owned mine for a few months now and everytime I ride it I love it more.
    Enjoy Tez

    Re: New Africa Twin owner!!

    Hello,

I am also joining the Africa Twin club (mine is a french RD04 from 1990 that I just bought) and like you I am keen to know about where i can get parts ans some advice.

I confirm your model is RD04.

concerning stickers, here below a link (a french company)

concerning parts: there is a french website called www.leboncoin.fr where you can find some used parts.
