    givi hard luggage

    hi guys

i recently acquired a set of monokey luggage from luggage.

fitting was an absolute breeze, took a couple of hours and everything, and i mean everything lined up, all nuts and bolts were there, even a few left over (always happens when i take summat apart and put it back together )

i came across two minor problems,

    1. the indicators that came with the rack, the wiring is exactly the same length for both but you need to connect behind the righthand side panel, that means the wiring for the left indicator goes under the seat and doesn't follow the original wires.

    2. i bought the optional strengthening kit, guys there aint no way you can fit that on a @, its supposed to sit behind the reg plate and stop the flex in the pannier mount, but the suspension travel is way too much and it ends up rubbing on the tyre, not much fun when you are cornering.

ok the top box has been on now for a fortnight and already i have broke the clip that the elastic uses to secure the bigger items, and all i have done is carry my work bag, mind you it does contain 4 manuals!!!!!!!!

Hey JV, what make of screen have you there

Mine has an extended screen about same height as yours but no flip up. I seem to experience a bit of turbulance (6ft tall rider) how's the flip-up for that

the flip screen looks the same as mine, i have one from powerbronze, gotta say it is much better than the original but being just over 6 foot i do get turbulance at speeds over 60mph and it is just at eye height. i did think of moving the bars forward to see if that would move my head down a little

My screen was bought from PowerBronze about 4 weeks ago. Definatly an improvment over the origional.I am 6ft, and if I situp straight on motorways, can happily cruise at 80 with some wind noise, and 100mph with some buffetting, but its not excessive.

I rode through some really bad rain last night, and I found that I could crouch behind the screen and even have my visor open... no problems.
