Replacing valve stem seals

Hi,

my RD04 has begun to consume oil more than 1 liter per 1000kms at 120000 kilometers. It runs normally and idles ok. I suspect valve stem seals are about to expire. Is it possible to replace seals without removing cylinder heads (and engine)? I have an air pressure tool that can keep cylinders pressurised during operation. I would hate to do anything extra and unnecessary to good engine...

Pretty sure you need to remove head, to remove valves and then change seals
Easy enough job with a manual at hand

Best check your valves guides for wear aswell if your taking your heads off, pointless putting new stem seals on and then finding your guides are knackered would be bit of a pointless exercise
