The 2 head bearings are different sizes?

    Hey lads!

I bought a set of steering bearings from DavidSilver, and gave to my mechanic the other day. Now he calls me and says they are different sizes, and is supposed to be the same size ... is this true? Are the 2 bearings for the steering supposed to be the same size?

    Thanks in advance!
    /Thomas

I'm pretty certain the bearings are exactly the same for top and bottom.

The bearings are but there is a different size cover for top and bottom

Many thanks for you replies, guys!

It seems David Silver somehow made a mess of that order, which is too bad when you're 8000 miles away from their shop. At least the covers were the right size.

My mechanic managed to find a replacement for the wrongly sized bearing, so all should be well now.

Thanks again, and a nice evening to all!
    Cheers,
    Thomas
