    It shall live again!

    Yay!!!

My old turd of an RD03 got stamped on last year. Some dozy bint pulled out or a side road across my path. I couldn't bring myself to scrap it as it's been a bloody good workhorse.

After months of searching around breakers and checking ebay I finally scored most of the bits I need for it. I got forks, yokes, front wheel & disc, bars and the mudguard for 140 notes off ebay.

I've had to buy a few bits off Mr Honda, but the bike should only owe me about 400 quid when it's back on the road. It was an economical write-off, so I bought the salvage for 100 quid.

The bodywork isn't pretty, but who cares?

    RESULT!

Wayhey, well done! Was in same position with my RD07 which was hit by a reversing lorry last Feb. Thanks to Fowler's "expert"-quote (listing expensive plastic parts that had not even been scratched) it was a write off, got £2400 and bought it back for £200 (to Fowler's disappointment who had already nicked the dashboard and other valuable bits )

Thanks to eBay, David Silver, £600 and loads & loads of work (which was nice) I put it back together again, looks better than before the accident.
I had bought the bike on eBay for £1900 half a year before the accident so I had a virtually free bike

And then last month I had to replace the clutch, chain & sprockets, battery, fuel pump, rectifier and who knows what else, but you can't always win hey

Good to see, even in this disposable age, that there are still people who are willing and capable of keeping fine machinery running.
Now I think this may be the place to ask if anyone knows where i can get my hands on a used, front right hand panel for a 1995 RD07 (red preferably)
    Regards
    Banger
