Frame number. You have an RD07. Under the seat will be a label giving you the full code and colour code. I think mine is an XRV750X (2000 model, one careful owner) as well. This is good enough to get spares with. But I could be wrong....I have Bet Lynch type handlebar muffs and am therefore slightly sus.

Thanks for that Yen i will check it tomorrow.![]()
Yep it's the frame number. According to my Haynes manual all AT engine numbers begin RD04 - thought I'd got an earlier engine in my '94 - the suffix letter (in Yen's case X) changes each year. My '94 is an XRV750R, '95 is an S, and so on.Originally Posted by YEN_POWELL

By the way Yen, I don't think it's strictly legal to use the words "Bet Lynch" and "muffs" in the same sentence.![]()

Once maybe when she was a national treasure I would have agreed. However after seeing her f-ing and blinding on the back of an elephant, she's lost some of the magic......

You must have led a sheltered life Mr. P.; elephants, racy language,...that just sounds like part of the normal Manchester mating routineOriginally Posted by YEN_POWELL
