power loss rdo4 africa twin !

Please help me !!! my lovely africa twin rd04 has a power loss problem ! driving down the M4 last week and the bike stated to chock an loose power , there was no warning and all of a sudden could not get more than 80 out of her ! she is usual happy to go into the figures !!!!
i gave the bike a full service ,plugs filters and oil hoping this might fix it ,but no ! I checked all the plugs for a good spark and found that a coil had failed !! Aha i said thats whats wrong ,so I replaced the coil pack !!!!! Nope still doing it ! no get up and go and the bike begins to stubble in 4th and 5th gear ant tops out at 80mph and won't go much over 6000 rpm ! it will rev to the red when stationary .
    Im stumped please help me

I had a similar problem that was intermittent and happened mostly above 5500 rpm, had the carbs checked and balanced and the problem moved to below 3000 rpm

The problem turned out to be faulty coils and HT lead

    Runs great now

    check coils
but the diaphragms will all will allow the bike to rev but wont move up with the increase air flow for power under load

    easy to check

get the filter and air box off,
lift the slide with both finger
and release, they should move up easily
    and drop freely too.
