    Big Poll

Yes chaps, I'm putting together a poll that will collate all our ratings for tyres and we should be able to produce results such as:

Highest Avg rated tyre for wet grip, dry grip, off-road etc..
    Costs
Wear Rate - What mileage people usually get from their tyres

I have to keep the poll as straightforward as possible so I won't be asking for tyre sizes, just Manufacturer and model.

Question is - do I need to collect results individually for front and rear, or are you generally happy with the performance of a 'Tyre Model'?

    again on sizes

    QUESTION ABOUT THE SIZE:

my RD04 is omologated (in Italy) only for 130/90 - 17 rear tyres. Apparently NO ONE makes such size of enduro - touring tyres except an old Dunlop model.

So: no Dunlop = no MOT

Do you have this problem with old AT's?

    Cheers

IMHO, the front on my bikes nearly always last about double that of the rear.

ok, so whose had the new m & P catalogue through the door and checked out what the new battle wing BW501/502 look like. my opinion dont matter but they dont look nice. looks like the would be a good road tyre but anything else i think they would clog up to easy. anybody tried them yet? got a good report about them

I replaced my trailwings with Michelin anakees about 800 miles ago. What a difference!

So much better in the wet, it's like a different bike.

Haven't melted the edges yet though....

My rear Distanzia has done 9k and is still going strong. Gives plenty of lean without slides. I'll replace it with the same.

I have an Anakee on the rear - plenty of tread left and feels planted in the corners and safe in the wet.

I have a T66 on the front - plenty of tread left but badly stepped and starting to square. Feels a bit vague at times in comparison to the rear, especially in the wet.

I will probably replace the front T66 with an Anakee to match the rear sooner rather than later.

    Hi,
Need new tyres soon. As I'm doing quite some commuting right now, I think I'll just go for real road tyres.

I have Trailwings now (147/14 which are very slippery in the wet. I had Bridgestone BT45's on my NTV and they were very good, so I think I'll go for those.

Anyone other ideas? Am I right when I say that the BT45's have silica added to the compound? Couldn't find it so quick on their site...

    Cheers!!
    Tijn
