This way you collect all the disadvances from a motorcycle and car in one. A sidecar can go, but not a trailer...just plain stupidity.

Two cents appreciated. I can take a trailer off in a minute and use the bike as normal. A sidecar is a mission.

I'm pretty sure those are just normal trailers, like the ones you can buy off eBay. I know a guy who just uses one from halfords but not on public roads, for moving logs and stuff. Think its illegal on the road because its over a certain weight or dimension, so I'd check that out before you buy one.

Any bike builder or someone with some fab/welding skills should be able to help you out with the tow mount or whatever you call it. Me id just buy a cheap car

Sorry I didn't look at the photos much, they're probably modified or home built. Maybe a bike builder or something would help you out.

Re: Towing trailer behind my AT

Trailer Law - UK legislation was changed in 1984 to allow trailers to be towed by solo motorcycles.

The main points are as follows :

    Motorcycles must exceed 125 cc

Maximum towed weight, including the trailer and it’s load must not exceed 150 Kg. (330 lb.) or two thirds of the motorcycles unladen weight, whichever is least.

The Motorcycle must be marked with it’s kerbside weight.

Maximum width of the trailer is one metre.

Maximum length of the trailer is 2.5 metres, measured from the motorcycle rear wheel spindle to the rearmost part of the trailer. The trailer must be marked with it’s unladen weight.

The UK speed limit is 60 mph on dual carriageways and motorways.

Lighting regulations are the same as other small trailers.

Other countries have different laws, but apart from the national speed limit restrictions, a UK legal trailer is normally allowed as a visitor to other countries.

Hope this helps before anyone starts a major production line. Personally I've never been stopped to have dimensions / weights checked but then again it was behind a Goldwing so the proportions looked right.
