Replacement rear shock - experience/ recommendations?

I'm planning to replace the rear shock on my 5 year old bike. Options I've found are

    Original Honda Showa £490
    Ohlins (from Touratech) £750
    Hagon £255
White Power £400 or £500 depending on options

I'm assuming that the Ohlins is the "money no object choice" but does anyone have any experience (good or bad) with any of these?

    Any comments/ thoughts appreciated. Cheers

Get your Ohlins shock from Harris Performance in Hertford. About half the price of Touratech. They have a pricelist on their website.

The only XRV rear shock I could find on the Harris website was for a 95/96 year model, and it weighed in at £525. What do we reakon, would this fit later bikes?

It is Ohlins policy for their product to be supplied by the in-country importer/supplier, therefore we can only supply to mainland UK.

    £445.96 (Excluding: VAT at 17.5%)

I've experience of the Hagon one and found it's not too bad. It's softer than the standard Honda kit but very smooth, haven't played with it much yet. It was also very easy to fit by my untrained hands!

They have obviously updated their price list since I last looked. From memory, they were £380 + VAT, also I think the Ohlins model numbers quoted by Touratech & Harris Performance were the same.

It's worthwhile giving the guys at Harris a call as they do give discounts from time to time. I phone them ever so often just to confirm I still can't afford Ohlins
