Due to your mobile problems mate I'm struggling to contact you but will phone your home tonight as I want to bring a Jeffrey* and pick the XRV up on Sunday if you're around. Gonna cost me a tank of petrol for my son plus MacDonalds for him and my two girls but your bike is worth it
* cash in brown envelope
No problem....Did,nt think you could wait that long.....

[I]Wherever you go, there you are!
Thanks enabb. I did do extra mileage but for all the wrong reasons. We split up to meet at the MacDonalds south of Scarborough but my son missed it (as did I but I turned back). We eventually managed to connect back up at Driffield. All caused because his phone doesn't work (can't hear the caller's voice) so we were trying to locate each other via text which is not easy on a bike!
Then we had to find a MacDonalds for the kids after parking up and finding Beverley doesn't have one so the next one turned up in Willerby. So the journey to you was 2 hours and the return home was 5 hours!
Problem now is that I have too much stuff until the workshop is built:
ZX7R (behind crane), XRV750. GY200, engine crane, bandsaw, 1947 lathe, 1964 shaper + 1990's milling machine ......... you can never have too many toys
Must say the ride home was a lot of fun. You're right about the brakes - initial bite but then not the same progressive stopping effect. The seat did make me bum a bit numb! And I heard a noise which was diagnosed when I lifted my visor up as a sweet change in engine noise at 5000+ rpm ..... very nice
Thanks for everything - the easy transaction, the advice, selling a very tidy clean bike, and making me feel very welcome during my visits. Thanks to your good lady and I hope you have a great time on your travels. Will keep in touch![]()
