    Newbie silly questions

    Hi all,

I'm new to this forum, looking for a very good Africa twin, low miles and willing to pay good money for a02/03. Are these the best bikes or are there better years?

I've previously had unreliable Ducati super bikes, zzr 600's, ariel square four then saw the light and got an xt600, found that a little too underpowered for touring.

Are the at's much better than the xt's?

    Sorry for the silly questions,

    Mark

All AT are reliable enough. The 02-03 difference to the rest is colour based. All RD07a suffer from a **** Honda fuel pump and are usually replace with a facet pump. Although both my twins had just the standard one fitted with no issue. They all are susptiable to wheel corrosion where the wheel and spokes meet. You could be just as well buying a well sorted low Mileage 99 00 bike. But do buy the best you can afford with the best service history.

Best of luck with the search.

I have an 03 I am toying with selling.
Fairly big spec, tours tech pannier racks, Remus, k&n filter, pivot pegs, spare wheels, few tyres, original parts all included, three different screens (givi, original and power bronze) braided hel lines with originals included, spare clutch cables run, headlight brush guard, recent chain and sprockets, always run on super unleaded and castrol fuly synthetic.

Jakescanes@yahoo.co.uk if you want pics or are interested.
    Doubt you'll find better
