Fitting spot lights and 12V socket

    Hi,

I bought these spotlights and want to fit them over the weekend.

it states on the package : Halogen Driving lights : H3-12V 55W

I have bought a on/off switch, and the plan is to run wires from the battery through a fuse to the switch and from here to the lights.
I have never done this before, so I hope this is correct. Please help me if i am going to mess anything up. Also what size fuse should I use. I hope these spot lights will work. They were a fraction of the price. I know the quality is not that great but i will replace them with proper ones once the money is there.

I also have a 12V socket that I would like to fit, can anyone give me any pointers on this.

    Thanks....

    hi
55w x2 will be too much load for your generater to cop with, to charge your battery. i bought the same wattage spot lights and found the volt drop on your charging circuit didnot charge battery..
i bought some solor led spot lights 0.5 amp per light and 55w output very bright..
i mounted to crash bars with touratech mounting brackets..

wiring using a 30 amp relay, live from batterry throught n o connection on relayAttachment 0Attachment 0Attachment 0Attachment 0 ,coil feed on relay, live feed taken fron rear lights then wired through switch on handle bars.. this means fog lights can only work when bike lights r on, and ignition on, so you cannot flatten your battery leaving spot lights on..
