Mine sounds different depending whether clutch lever is in or out and I think that's pretty standard for all wet clutches.
If yours is juddering during the last bit of clutch connecting as you pull away (worse when you do it with gusto to beat someone away from the lights) then it is caused by grooves in the tangs of the clutch basket. I've had that on my own AT at 70,000 miles and on my last but one DR350. It needs a little work with a file to cure. the downside is that you have to remove the clutch to do it, which also means removing the exhaust down pipes.
3 Africa Twins/280,000 miles. If it's happened to one of mine, it's gonna happen to one of yours.....eventually.
1 Varadero/17,000 miles ridden (of 40,000 miles on the bike), it's all still new to me!
