My speedo needle has started bouncing + - 10 mph and won't climb above 50-60 mph. Would I be right in assuming that it is the drive rather than the cable that is faulty and if so what part is required to repair it.

Check the tech data section, see the fiches.
You have to remove the front wheel anyway, so than you can also see what's wrong. Mind you, I could still be the cable...

chances are it could be the cable and at only about £10 to buy and 2 minutes to put in i check that before looking at taking the wheel out. happened to my xjr for about a week before finallly breaking
The speedo on the @ isn't woth a carrot anyway. Compare it against a GPS & scare your self. Put it this way at a shown 80mph. youre doing 73!![]()
Stripped it down today, grooves on the plastic drive are worn smooth, replacement £16 from Honda.
