Fuel leak at extreme lean angles..

OK, to tell the truth I dropped (put down very gently) the bike. Not a problem except fuel just dropped out the thing from under the tank.

I'll suffer the mirth, ha ha etc.. but.. Does your bike do that too? I'm going to take it off-road and I'll drop it there too, so would like to know if this is normal...

Yes it does...... I think its fuel from the float chamber in the carbs. I had an embarrising incident outside the HSBC Bank travelling at 1mph, and touching the front brake on wet leaves... The bike sloooooowly fell away from me.... then petrol P1$$ed all over the floor as I struggled to pick it up

All bikes chuck petrol out when on their side, even my DR350 trail bike which falls over at least twice when I go out trail riding. It's one of the reasons they don't always start straight away when you've picked them up.
3 Africa Twins/280,000 miles. If it's happened to one of mine, it's gonna happen to one of yours.....eventually.

1 Varadero/17,000 miles ridden (of 40,000 miles on the bike), it's all still new to me!

Thanks, I was quite alarmed to see petrol dripping everywhere in close proximity to a red hot exhaust!

I guess the trick is not to drop it
