Bridgestone tyres

Went to a motorcycle show/fair yesterday. This is the "Utrecht Motorbeurs", unofficially the kickoff for the next season with large discounts, shops, suppliers etc. etc. ..

Went to the Bridgestone stand, and thought about having a go at one of the blokes there about the poor wet grip of my trailwings. So, told them I had TW47 and 48 on a africa twin, and about nonexisting grip in the wet.

Reply: Yes, we know.

I will go for other tyres next....

Hang on, aren't the Trailwings TW101 / 152 the more common choice on the AT? Like I have said before, Trailwing is the name of a productline, not just one tyre, and can explain the different ratings as well.
Having said that, even the 101/152 come in different compounds like G and F if I am correct (these are NOT the max-speed ratings). The F's are said to be better (less challenging) than the G's in the wet.

I wonder how the new Battlewings 502 will be? Not sure if they are available in 21 inch fronts though?

Don't know about the 502's. Was just completely disappointed by the guy on the stand (and yes, it was a real bridgestone guy) just simply telling that those tyres do not have wet grip.

And some lame excuse that one cannot expect grip with a supersport and slicks on the wet... He completely missed my point I guess...
