Ahh.. the taste of power...
Africa Queens do a big bore kit and maybe gas flowed head..

My bike has 1mm OS high comp pistons , they are Wiseco and made as a 3mm OS kit for the Honda GT650 Hawk ( a chaindrive revere thingo they got in the states ). Had to slightly modify the skirts as they were hitting the crank but apart from that easy to fit. The comp ratio is about 10.5 : 1 and they make a big difference to power and torque however the Wiseco pistons run BIG cylinder clearances and the bike uses oil.
There is also a 2mm (780cc) kit available from japan but it's pretty expensive.

For an engine that started life as a 500 cc I think 750 cc is already challenging enough imho. You can already feel the 600/650 run better than the 750. If you want more power get another bike I'd say.

IMO Thats the whole problem there isn't another bike like the @ there are others similar but for the money it can't be beaten. That's why I've had mine for 6.5 years and I've tested other bikes during that time but still suck with it.
I've be looking and I suspect so has xrv- jim at BMW (Wife says there's no harm in looking !) but the BMW is too much money and the @ at the present is the bike for me (OK its one of my 4 bikes ! - greedy pig)
I too would like a bit more BHP to help with the high gearing I run but at what price ?

Thing is - if you mess about with it to get loads more BHP, you run the risk of changing the character that made you like it in the first place!
I agree with you... Mutch will be changed with this modification.
If you want a big trail bike with lots of Power
Get yourself a KTM 950/990 Adventure.
More power than you will ever need On or Offroad
Ive got both and to be honest i like the Africas engine more - beacause i dont ride at high speeds and I like to stick to the speed limits the Twin is a much softer ride overall and does more MPG so IMO is better suited to long distance touring.
THe KTM can corrupt you easily into going quicker than you need to
