    help loose pipes

Appreciate any help with this one due to the weather I had to leave mt at rd07 in bits in the garden for a couple of days and have forgooten were two pipes go I have a funny feeling that they just hang loose but it does not do any harm to ask.

The firsty is the small breather from the base of the tank it has a y shaped plastic part one goes underneath the bike the other is connected to the tank the extra bit I am assumeing sits on the frame in the hook straight above the tank?

The second pipe I am stuck on is connected to the carb overflow pipe if you follow it down from the front carb its the second junction off not the first and goes up not sure if this just hangs loose or if its connected to something?

And of course the sister inlaw paid a visit with her kids so lots of really important bolts have gone missing

Any help mucho appreciated haynes hasnt helped at all.

Not sure about the second one. I agree that the Haynes manual is not much use. It probably says something like "remove pipe noting its routing" And will later go on to say "Installation is the reverse of removal"

Thats exactly what it said will give it a few days to see if there is a response then will pull tank and airbox off again for a look there is no clip on the end of it so I think it may be a loosey?

Just put it on its m,ainstand for the first time you could park a double decker bus underneath it.

Don't know if this is any help but all vent pipes /over flow pipes (looseys)run down to the swing arm pivot area therefore are longer then those that connect to something, so the lenght of the pipes should be a good indication.
Like I said, I Don't know if this advise is of use, but some times the obvious is over looked.

I don't know how clean you keep your bike but most
of what hangs down by the swing arm will be dirty or discoloured.

I do have a workshop manual for the @ so if you post a picture I might be able to find it for you.

This pipe does run down underneath but it branches off twice before getting underneath.
its an rdo7 if you look at the frone float bowl follow it down it branches off twice the first goes under the tank and over the carbs and the second gos up somewhere its that one that has got me stuck theres no clip on it and the ends dirtyish I thought it might be a scavenge pipe? There is a rubber washer on it that looks like a clip retainer but can find its location wierd. It definetally doesnt go underneath as the end of it already does?

My fault for being lazy thought someone might already have theres stripped its worth ago? I was hopeing that I wouldnt have to pull it apart aging to find out it does not go anywhere.

From memory there is a pipe like you describe that sort of sits on the top of the rear cylinder with all the other stuuf to do with the airbox/carb/fuel line stuff. I'll see if I can see it with a torch sometime today.

Right the y shaped piece definitely does what you say and the bottom single bit goes down to the metal holder under the back of the bash plate. Couldn't see the other one you mention, but I do know that there is a pipe that just sits open ended in the jumble around the airbox. Do you have a genuine manual cos that is full of pipey layout pictures. If not I will look tonight for you.

I dont no just a haynes.
Be great if you could dont fancy pulling it apart again if it is just a floater
I know its part of the overflow system of the front carb but couldnt find anywhere for it to go on reassembly? It could be that loose pipe you mentioned around the airbox?
