    bent rear disc

Cant believe it felt a pulsateing through the rear brake pedal popped it on the mainstand for a gander and my rear disc has warped itself no warning nothing
Are the brakes made off the same cheese the rest of the bike is?
Never had this happen before did not knock it. break wind near it so much as look at it and pow all busted up and stuff.

The force is not stong in this one young master
Anyone else had things go awry for no reason?

I think I've done the same thing, but I can put it down to riding off with a chain and lock still in the rear wheel The whole affair wrapped itself around the rear wheel!

My rear disc has done 117,000 miles and just passed an MOT a month back. Its very thin though. My fronts only lasted 70k before warping however.
3 Africa Twins/280,000 miles. If it's happened to one of mine, it's gonna happen to one of yours.....eventually.

1 Varadero/17,000 miles ridden (of 40,000 miles on the bike), it's all still new to me!

Rode into my disclock after more than a few beers about two weeks ago. Had to replace both front discs (did not want to gamble with replacing only one) and the brake pads.

Honda wanted to charge me ZAR 2730,00 per disc, tax excluded.
That is about GBP 260,00 (i think).

I could get aftermarket ones for about half that and rather did that.

Apparently - if the shiny part (hard metal) did not warp, but only the disc-holder part - it can be bent back to shape and wont necessarily warp again when heating up. Check for that.

Busters Accessories are still doing AT rear disks for £19.99 - PFM brand - in their clearance section. I put one on my '94 and it's OK!
