leaking piston seal

Hi guys i am just back from the Edinburgh M.A.G. Rally ,On saturday morning when i was leaving the camp site i found my front brake was not working . The piston seal on my brake caliper has sprung a leak So i had to just use the back brake . After touring round several dealers to try and get a seal with no luck i just kept on with my mini tour. 540 Miles later i am home again .I changed the seals and dust seals just before christmas after a total strip down due to one caliper binding ,Am i just unlucky with this seal or do they spring a leak on a regular basis.fw600vj

Just unlucky.
On my y2k 600 I changed the piston & dust seals at about 18k & they never went boss-eyed again.
