one spark or two

I decided to do a ignition check on my RD04 @,so I made a spark plug gap test tool as seen in the manual,one of the front cylinders spark plugs failed, so did a resistance check with my multimeter and some of the reading were slightly out of specification. But when I replaced spark plug back in cap,and did a check were I placed the plug against the cylinder, I got a spark .To cut a long short ,dose one cylinder need two sparks and can I get away with one weak one.

A couple of weeks ago I discovered one of the coils had a disconnected lead So yes, the bike runs fine with 1 plug disconnected, apart from slightly worse mpg and tiny bit less responsive on the throttle. But nothing major, I never suspected anything, just discovered the loose lead by coincidence.

Weak spark: as long as the plug does not skip any sparks, then you should not notice a lot of difference: as long as the mixture ignites, it will not ignite any more powerful with a small or a big spark (unlike some manufacturers of "wonder-plugs" try to let you believe). However, plugs can get more trouble with deposits sticking on, esp when starting or idling in cold temperatures you may notice the bike to fire a bit less lively.
