    Sticky petrol cap

The petrol cap is getting so hard to unlock now that i nearly broke the key off trying to turn it today, have tried WD40 to no avail.

Any ideas on what i can use to make it easier and has anyone else had this trouble or is it just me

Is the key alright? a slightly bent key can cause the same problem,if you have a spare key try it ,other than that it might just be worn. i think you get a new cap from David Silver spares.www.davidsilverspares.co.uk

I'm not sure if I'm right but you shouldn't put oil in locks should you? I thought it should be graphite powder or something like that as oil can stick the mechanism.

The key is a little bent but it never goes in as far as the bend so that cant be the problem.

Today at the garage it worked fine so i guess she was just playing with me in order to get my posts up

what i did notice though that today the inside of the cap was covered in petrol and normally it is dry so i dont know if that had anything to do with it
