    Help, electrical problem

Yesterday I was for about 20 minutes of riding when the motorcycle stall and I had turn on the reserve as usually do when I´m out of gas, but I have more than 3/4 in the tank, when I looked to the instruments the tripmaster was out (no numbers at all), the tachometer was working and the engine was running intermittent, I´d shoot the engine off and when I´d turn again the ignition key all the lights were dead, suddenly they came on and the bike start again but erratic, I´d try everything to try to have the engine on and I don´t know why but when I´d turn the lights on the engine regularize, what´s the problem?

    thanks for your help,

    Yep I'll second that.
Damned frustrating, but an easy fix once you know.
Remove the seat. Undo the bolt attaching the plastic cover to the battery compartment and then reattach / tighten the lead. Apply some thread locking compound if you don't want it to happen again!
    Job done.

Try cleaning the terminals with WD40 and scotch bright, maybe it is a bad connection.

Try by-passing the ignition switch. Mine had similar symptoms and needed a new switch. See other posts for a cheap alternative to the Honda ignition switch if that is the problem.
