Im about to change my cam chains (£120 for pair of genuine honda- not bad).
Should I do anything to the tensioners, replace the springs, guides etc ?

I had mine changed at 70,000 miles and the tensioners were just reset. The bike is still quiet now 48,000 miles later. I'm sure camchains should be a lot cheaper than that. I think I paid about £200 to have them changed by Tony Galea (Basildon) and most of that was the labour.
3 Africa Twins/280,000 miles. If it's happened to one of mine, it's gonna happen to one of yours.....eventually.
1 Varadero/17,000 miles ridden (of 40,000 miles on the bike), it's all still new to me!
Camchain is 35 squid at David Silver (that'll be, ---errrm, been a long day--, £70 + P&P?)

Does the £120 include the sprockets. ?
i jibbed off my local shop and ended up going to dave silver... Bloody addictive that site and ended up spending £200 on other things.![]()
