I recently cured my rough running and it was a mixture of front cylinder choke cable sticking and the airbox not sitting on the carbs properly.

Well before the fix I was lucky to get 170 miles from full to reserve. This used to cost about £18 to fill it back up.

I have just covered 170 miles since the fix and was not on reserve so I thought I would fill up anyway.

Well blow me....... £12 to fill it up. I worked out I am now getting 52mpg. This is a mix of 90mph motorway ridding and the usual townie bits.
Well chuffed. This means I can go from Amersham to Bristol return on a tank of fuel. 230 mile round trip.

ps.... my car is a 3500cc 24 valve Shogun..... so I am off setting the bike against it for a better greener Amersham.
