Thread: New Tyres!

    New Tyres!

As opposed to all the tyre info, I just went for a couple of Bridgestone BT45's. Yes, they do have a 90-90-21.

Actually, got the front yesterday, and the rear today. But that's me being a scared b*gger on two completely new tyres...

Had a couple of deathwings to replace, they held about 14.000km (about 8800miles). The rear was very much squared off, the front could do with another couple of km, but I wanted grip. Had the BT45's on my NTV, and was very much pleased with them.

So after having them fitted I took a little run to run them in. After only a couple of km they already gave me much more confidence than the deathwings ever did, but then again, these are 100% road going tyres.

Now wait how the confidence will be during rain....

    Cheers,
    T.

Cannot find any info on a 21" front on the web. Did you just ask at your local supplier? Or did you already know something they didn't?

    BT45s Available in The Colonies

I think africatijn is right. About mid-way down the list on this page is a 21 inch 90/90 front tire, Article Number 048765.

Aha, that would be the North American website for Bridgestone motorcycle tyres. Looks like an enterprising European has imported some tyres from across the pond. Good on him!

Funny, I looked on the bridgestone site as well, could find them either.
But my supplier searched for it in their database, and he just had one in the shop already! So they are not so rare as it appears.

Tikka, had very good experience with Alband in Kralingen, Rotterdam, not too far from where you live. All bikers so they know what they are doing. (In fact, I was able to help, so that I'm sure all is well again).

    Tijn.

Metzeler do a set of ME33 Lasertec for the @, although I had more problems trying to get a rear fitment.
