Marathon race bikes

Hi, This is my first post. I have been wanting to buy an early AT for some time now.
Does anyone have some information on the RD03 HRC Marathons, such as the exact differences from the stock model, number produced, value today? I am particularly interested in the 88-89 Marathon models, as i believe i have located one for sale.
