what do you think about honda xlv 750 r?

I've found few pieces of info about this bike but I don't know if it's worthy to buy one. Few things I like in this bike. Simple v engine cooled air/oil. eanough power, shaftdrive. What you think about this motorcycle?

I think it is a weird-yet-cool bike, but quite heavy and the bike is known for overheating problems, esp of the rear cylinder. Shaft drive is also vulnerable when used off-road, but one has to be mad to do such a thing anyway

I am interested if you already found one for sale, I reckon these bikes must be as rare as honest politicians Not much hope for spares and parts either me thinks? I'd ask David Silver if they could supply any before buying one.

Good luck, pls show us some pics in case you buy one

I know a man with two

So if they really are as rare as honest politicians, at least one of them has got to be an import

TBH... this is my 2nd favorite bike after the RD03.

I like the bike for the reasons mentioned... and don't forget the hydraulic lifters... no valves to adjust! :P

I've also read about heating issues, but my guess would be that it's much like any other air cooled bike. Probably gets a bit too hot sitting in traffic jams and sitting at idle for long periods.

That shaft-drive is really cool. I know it's heavier and less tunable than a chain setup, but... still very cool. I sure wish Honda would've improved on it as they'd probably have the only long lasting shaft-driven dual sport bike around!

If you can get a deal on one Mate... buy it!
