I am really to proud to announce that we are now officially affiliated with MAG.
Motorcycle Action Group
I have official confirmation in my hands.

This is something that I was really keen to do in order to put something back in to biking. I'm also talking to the TRF about doing the same.

For the record I have affiliated over 1200 members, everyone of our active membership, regardless of whether they have subscribed or not.
I have affiliation membership cards which will be sent out starting in a few weeks to people that have already subscribed, although due to the volume to send out it will take some time to do. Non subscription users will not get a membership card.
All new subscriptions from the point that I get the cards will get one sent out.

So now every person that subscribes is putting something back in to biking. Well done to you all!

The Motorcycle Action Group(MAG UK) is a lobbying organisation that exists to protect motorcycling from unsympathetic legislation that threatens the pleasure of riders.

Just catching up with this as I said I would detail the benefits we get as an affiliated organisation.

Firstly this affiliation doesn't replace personal membership of MAG. So do consider personally supporting them as well. Think of the affiliation as this site subscribing to MAG on an annual basis.

1. Block booking advance-ticket discounts for MAG events.
2. Access to MAG's public liability insurance scheme when running our own club events.
3. Free listing of our club events in MAG's magazine, "The Road".
4. Free link and logo placement of our website on MAG's UK website.
5. Discounted rates for display adverts in "The Road" magazine.
6. Discounted joining rates for members that choose to upgrade to MAG full membership. £5 discount.
7. Representation by the National Clubs Liason Officer on the MAG National Committee
8. Voting entitlement at MAG's annual group conference.
9. Regular briefings via MAG's bulletin network so that we know what's going on in MAG and the campaigns they are involved in.
10. Receive regular information on MAG activities.

The Motorcycle Action Group, (MAG), is a voluntary organisation, drawing membership from across the whole spectrum of motorcycling.
Whatever you ride MAG has something for you!
MAG was born out of protest against legislation, introduced in 1973, making it compulsory to wear a crash helmet.
Since then MAG has evolved from a single issue group to a highly respected political lobbying and campaigns group which is central to all aspects of policy and legislation affecting motorcycling.
MAG operates at the European, National, Regional and Local levels. MAG can, and does make a difference.
We are respected for our responsible contributions which are informed, objective and which enrich the political debate.
Throughout this evolution MAG has remained faithful to its core principles of freedom of choice and self - determination.
Motorcycling is about freedom of expression.
Above all it is about camaraderie and friendship.
In a world of increasing regulation and conformity motorcycling represents one of the last bastions of individuality and diversity.
This freedom of expression and individuality is not a 'given'; it has to be protected and fought for.
This is why every part of MAG must be focussed on promoting motorcycling and to represent, protect and defend the interests of riders.
To put it simply;
