Pegaso I.E. Tuscany Tibet Raid (!)

Bit of a mouthful, but quite nice looking bike, (I wonder if they do different colour schemes)!

Anyone have any experience of them? One for sale in the Phils at the mo. 650 single, 47HP, fuel injected, 21 litre tank. UKP5.5k seems a bit expensive and spares would be non existant here.

I have just seen these two

The Pegaso Tuscany Tibet and the ETV1000 Rallye Raid

Since I'm not capable of producing my pictures as they should be, e.g. becoming bigger as you click on them, I have to include the links.

3 Africa Twins/280,000 miles. If it's happened to one of mine, it's gonna happen to one of yours.....eventually.

1 Varadero/17,000 miles ridden (of 40,000 miles on the bike), it's all still new to me!

it was a one off colour scheme as was the caponord rally raid
standard bikes with some accessories added
got to use the rally raid for a while, good bike but felt a bit on the heavy side and with the tank costing around a £1000 not something you want to drop often
if ukp means pounds then thats mega expensive as you could pick up a new abs caponord for that money

I thought that the Rallye Raid had different suspension, different engine protection plate, and side boxes, amongst other things.

Just been reading some rider reviews on the type, and owners seem to like it.

But expensive they are, considering they only made it for 2004 and possibly 2005, so they are all old by now.

    Still desperately want one anyhow

At last, one is up for sale, but 95 000:- in funny money (Swedish crowns) is a bit on the hefty side me thinks

if the calculators right...that works out at nearly £8200.....ouch !!
would expect you to pay around £3500-£4000 in the uk for a mint example ....
again if the calculators working right....that works out at 40810 for a bike costing £3500
is it not worth you traveling to the uk for one
as everyone else in the EEC seems to be buying bikes in the uk at the moment

German second hand bike prices gone up during the last six months or so,
Perhaps it's time to look for the next bike in the U.K.

The Caponord is no longer an personal option of mine, since there are few dealers keeping spare parts in Sweden.
And they are much to expensive for what you get.

Re: Pegaso I.E. Tuscany Tibet Raid (!)

In terms of buying motorcycles, I would definitely look to the UK for a second hand bike.

My Triumph was €2500 cheaper than a model at the dealer in the Netherlands, which was 3 years older, had 25k miles more on the clock, in bad nick, and no extras.

If I had the money to hand, I'd be buying bikes here and selling them in the Netherlands... A BMW 1150GS goes for around €6.5k here, and will still cost you €10k in the Netherlands (high mileage).

On topic: love the Aprilia Pegaso Trail and Strada. If my girlfriend ever decides to get her license, it'd be a perfect bike for her.

    Gone but not forgotten:
'04 Tiger (MRA-Vario screen, Crash bars, K&N Airfilter, dual headlamp upgrade. Colour: orange, 'cause I'm Dutch, innit!)
    '93 ZZR600

    Hmmm.

This one is for sale here in Sweden (there are only 4-5 of them here)
    6 000 Euro

    Nevertheless I think I'll keep my @

Here is one even more rare model, also for sale here
I actually never seen one in the flesh.

    Aprilia Pegaso Tuscany-Tibet

Only 230 km on the odometer... 4 500 euro
