Does anyone do spoked wheels for the Varadero?
Any pics of one anywhere that's been tarted up a little bit more with some off-road bias?

Presumably jacking up the suspension, spoked wheels, knobblies on, etc...

When I had my Varadero I made enquiries with several companies with the intention of getting some spoked wheels made for the bike. The problem was that it wasn't possible to get the hubs for them to build the wheels. LB.

Ok, I've not looked into this one coz I'm happy with my alloys but could you not do retro fit that was used for @T's? With them you changed the bearings from CBR alloys to fit the @T to make a trick super motad. There must be a similar trick with spoked wheels where you could change the wheel bearings to fit the Varadero? Either @T wheels with bigger rims or something else?
Hmmmn, got me thinking now for a set of offroad wheels and tyres!

Not convinced AT(-like) spoked wheels are up to the torque, weight and braking power of the Varadero. Mind you, the AT wheels tend to rot so quickly I am not always sure how well they cope with the AT itself

Look at africanqueens.de they´ve got spoked wheels in 17" 21"

Really nice and really expensive!

I also looked into this when I had my Vara.

The problem is getting enough clearance for the brake calipers.

With alloy wheels the calipers sit within the wheel so to speak, but spokes are laced to the outside edge of the hub.

So I was told it was a non starter.

Its a shame really cos thats all the bike is missing, except maybe a shaft.

Africanqueens have a kit that should fit right on the Vara!!
