Hi Ian.
Sounds tempting, a bit cold on an eve to travel down there.
I'd be interested in a daytime run/meet, or a pub meet further away when the weather warms up abit :?
Phil
Hi Pig
Bring the car or better still someone else's.
Landy's best.

Anyone ever head north? At the cafe on St Marys Loch (that's the Moffat to Selkirk road, a real corker, though too many idiots and cops on a sunny Sunday) there's usually at least one group from down south (no offence, but places like Newcastle are "down south", when you're up here).
Hadrians Wall ought to be a symbolic place for a Scots/English meet up too, but I don't know any venue...

Hi,
I love to have a run up to the Borders, a fave trip is through Teesdale tp Alston up to Brampton then up the A75 (I think) to Langholm and pootle around - STUNNING
Carter Bar, Kelso, Coldstream, it's easy to forget that we are actually quite fortunate to live here
If you want a meet up/ run out sometime give us a shout

Have enough family down south (Norfolk and Devon) that I'm regularly reminded how lucky we are :D
A run in the Borders would definitely be a good idea. We should have better weather and more daylight in the not too distant future - back of February into March.
I'll post on the Scottish Rideouts thread to see if there's any others...

Right chaps & ladies.. We now have a Calendar (http://www.xrv.org.uk/event_manager/events.php) for you to put your meetup/rideout dates into or any other event you'd like to put in there (including Birthdays :-)).. It's there for you guys to advertise and organise your trips/meetups/rideouts so go ahead, don't be shy and use it..
I would be up for a borders meet also, and I dont mind camping if the meet is to be further afield love crossing the border. :wav: :wav:

There was a meetup near Skipton Yesterday, keep an eye out in the calendar, we do have the occasional meetup from time to time sometimes with a camp.
Anyone on any bike is welcome to a meetup/rideout/camp. More the merrier.

Bit quiet up 'ere in gods country innit. Them funny lot from Yorkshire & Humberside have a few things going so how about us getting summat sorted?
I'm up in Shields (South) most Saturdays to see me Ma (bless her) so how about having a regular meet at Minchella's at noon(ish)?
Depending on how me Ma is I won't be on the bike every time or if I am I might not have a pass to go for a rideout but at least we could have a bit chinwag and maybe organise a few trips out.
I'll be there termorra & if I'm on me jack then a nice cuppa & a bit chat with the other bikers (& an ice cream when naebody's looking:D) will be aalreet.:thumb:
Whadya think?

The Great North Air Ambulance
Mystery Ride Out
Sunday 28th September 2008
This is the second year we are running this event with the Great North Air Ambulance.
Signing in for the Mystery Ride will take place at Durham Police HQ, Aykley Heads, Durham City from 10am on Sunday 28th September and will cost £5.00 per a person which will go to the Great North Air Ambulance.
Once registered, you will be given a clue which will relate to a destination/place in and around County Durham. When you have figured the clue out it is up to you to use your map skill to navigate to the location. Once there you will find another clue and so on and so forth.
Most of the locations en-route will have tea/coffee and toilet facilities.
All you need to bring is your motorcycle, a map and your sense of direction!!
If you need any further information about the ride, or donate funds to the GNAA, contact Mandy Drake or Lynne Simmons on 01325 487263.
Looking forward to see you on Sunday 28th.

Not working this week and propably off for a pootle during the week one day between wed-fri if anyone not at ye ol' 'grindstone' fancies it.
Not expecting much response for this being mid week but thought I'd mention it anyway.
I'll be leaving from Darlington and fancy a run up Kielder Forest way if there are any takers. I'm open to ideas if anyone wanting to come has any better ideas.
Would love a run out but bikes thrown its chain again, so grounded untill new one sourced.
