Right chaps & ladies.. We now have a Calendar (http://www.xrv.org.uk/event_manager/events.php) for you to put your meetup/rideout dates into or any other event you'd like to put in there (including Birthdays :-)).. It's there for you guys to advertise and organise your trips/meetups/rideouts so go ahead, don't be shy and use it..
Hi, Just bought an 04 Transalp and joined the org. In the East Anglia region.
I see the last post for this discussion group was Feb. Has anything got off the ground?
I was very unsure I had done the right thing with the Transalp, but after a few days, not any more. It has changed my views entirely :D
The only issue is with wind noise which is a bit OTT. I'm still looking around for a solution.
Anyone feel like a meetup in August then?
Hi fish and willb. Yep it happened half a dozen of us met at Hunstanton and rode the coast road back in Feb. Would certainly be up for a get together in August. I,m in North Norfolk and there is another AT in Breckland and he would come along. So look forward to meeting up
Kerbs
Hi Kerbs & Everyoine else interested.
Long time no see, the Feb meetup was good, just got to try and organise something again.
I've put another post up seeing if people would prefer and August or September meet and to see what people want to do.
Will
Ok for me, but it may be tough to get max people together in August with all the hols and other commitments i.e Brands Hatch on the 5/6th.
Bulldog bash 12/13th (anyone going to these?)
I don't really mind but it may be better after the silly season. How about 27 Aug or 3 Sept. I should have the puncture sorted by then.
Venue to include breakfast?

3rd of sept sounds good to me :D
Hi guys, yep 3rd Sept is OK for me and my son in law will probably come, he bought Laughing Bob's @ back in April.
Looking forward to seeing you lot again. How about a coastal meet Blakeney or Wells are good we could get a boat out to Blakeney point and visit the seals up close. Or somewhere on the Suffolk/Essex coast I'm easy, go along with what everyone else wants to do. I would say Thetford Forest but too many young women wearing next to nothing there on warm days and it upsets the riding concentration dunnit!! Now come on lads you know it makes sense.
Seriously though wherever you like, don't matter really just be good to meet up
Kerbs
Can't wait to see the new Chadmobile!!!!!

it wont be the proper chad mobile till i get to grips with it over the winter
but im looking forward to the ride out dude :D
Let me see.... close up of the seals or women wearing next to nothing?
However, I'm the newby here so I happy with the 3rd Sept and any venue.
Wells is good and I think there is a cafe at the end of the run down to the beach. Followed by Sunny Hunny or Sheringham?
Southwold is good, especially for breakfast at the cafe on the beach. Followed by Bungy or Chips in Yarmouth.
A longer rid could be for Chips in Skeggie.
Where about in Thetford forest?

ok guys its getting close now.
Are will still up for it?
Yeah should be.
Depending where it is I might even camp near there.
Sorry guys have been hugely busy as some of you may have seen on last Tuesdays BBC 10 o'clock news. Back in the real world now, looking forward to meeting up.
I think Wells would be pretty good has everything including camping etc.
although if any of you would like to camp in my field you are most welcome and I will do the full english breakfast
Just let me know so I can stock up, as many as you like plenty of room.
Kerbs

If this is still on the 3rd, i'm sorry guys, i wont be able to make it i'm afraid  Would have loved to come up that way but something has cropped up for that weekend, which i cant get out of.
OK, I presume it's still the 3rd, oh s**t thats this Sunday, Wells Quay for about noon tea and wads have a look about then round the coast to Yarmouth/Lowestoft, if we are very lucky may even see some of Britains only resident colony of cranes on the old little used coast road through Sea Palling, Waxham etc amazing birds stand about 4' 6'' high. Get to Yarmouth /Lowestoft more tea and wads have a look round, then split. Or something like that!!
If anyone wants to come up Saturday and camp no probs
Kerbs
I'll try and make it, but my pesky sister announced her arrival from Newcastle for the weekedn, so may be pushed to escape!
No Worries, stick her on the back!!!
Are there any takers or do we organise something towards the end of September?
Your thoughts guys.
Kerbs

Noon is 12hours after midnight tonight and 12 hours before midnight tomorrow night
Wells is to the left of Cromer and to the right of Hunstanton if you're looking out to sea! a few miles north of Fakenham.
I know, I know 'where's Fakenham'
See you tomorrow

Any other ride outs likely in the far east?

Apparently, the place for bikes in the Norfolk area is Sunny Hunny - Hunstanton. At the Transalp launch this evening a bloke was telling me there were "hundreds" of bikes there last Sunday.
Anyone fancy a trip there on Sunday 24th February?
Can't do this weekend as I'm revising!
Most other weekends are possible though!

Well, Timbuktubikegirl and I had a trip to Hunstanton today. We left Norwich in glorious sunshine and by the time we arrived in "Sunny Hunny" it had turned cold and grey. Not many other bikes around but we had the compulsory chips and came home via a stop in Wells-Next-The-Sea for a hot chocolate to warm up. By the time we returned to Norwich it was raining. Still, we had fun, 'cos we were dressed for it. It is February after all!
Next rideout is, provisionally, 30th March. Anyone interested?
I think I'm free that weekend, when and where though?
Jacqueslemac

Don't know yet. Let's see how many other people are interested nearer the time and then arrange something that suits us all.

I daren't postpone it to the following weekend as it's the day after my wife's birthday!
Perhaps we'll do another one in May sometime too.

Looks like I'm free for a ride in and around Norfolk/Suffolk on Saturday 26th April.
Anyone else available?
I might be around, depends on when and where though?
Jacqueslemac
23-04-08, 05:13 PM
At the moment, there's only you and me interested, so we can go wherever we like!
Have you anywhere in mind?
Not too sure at the moment as I need to fix my bike before I go anywhere! Hopefully it'll be a quick fix though.
Where are you coming from?
Jacqueslemac
24-04-08, 10:38 PM
Just south of Norwich, so not too far from the A11 or A140.
Jacqueslemac

Anyone within a few dozen miles of Norwich fancy making use of the long evenings for a ride?
